Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 BMG-TECH (PAM692)
The Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 watch collection has always stood out for its solidity, robustness and unparalleled visibility even at great depths, as well as for its distinctive and immediately recognizable design.
We are pleased to introduce you the new Luminor Submersible 1950 BMG-TECHTM - PAM692 – which features a 47 mm case made of BMG-TECHTM , an innovative material, developed and patented by Panerai.
BMG-TECHTM - the material of which the case, bezel, winding crown and associated protection device are made – is a metallic glass (Bulk Metallic Glass). It’s a material made from a special glass-like alloy in a way which prevents crystallization, so that the atoms do not arrange themselves in a regular geometric structures. The alloy (consisting of zirconium, copper, aluminum, titanium and nickel) is subjected to a high-pressure injection process at high temperature and then to a cooling process lasting for only a few seconds, so that the atoms do not have enough time to become arranged in an ordered, regular structure as normally happens in crystals. The “chaotic” structure of the material is the secret of its properties – in particular, its extreme resistance to corrosion, external shocks and magnetic fields. As further advantages, the watch provides excellent performance while preserving its appearance virtually unchanged over time.
The Luminor Submersible 1950 BMG-TECHTM - PAM692 - an underwater instrument with water-resistance guaranteed to 300 meters (30 bar), has unidirectional anti-clockwise rotating bezel with a graduated scale for calculating the time of immersion. The new blue dial with a polished finish displays the date window at 3 o’clock and the seconds counter at 9 o’clock. It provides ease of reading and excellent visibility under all lighting conditions thanks to the use of different types of Super-LumiNova® on the markers, making it easy to identify the reference points for reading time and length of immersion.
A further added value of the Luminor Submersible 1950 BMG-TECHTM - PAM692 - is the self-winding manufacture movement, calibre P.9010, providing 3-day power reserve. Consisting of 200 components, the calibre is 13¾ lines in diameter and 6 mm thick, which enables the thickness of the case to be reduced.
The case back of the new Luminor Submersible 1950 BMG-TECHTM - PAM692 - is made of titanium and the strap is made of black rubber.
Looking forward to meeting you and present you the watch more in detail in our shop !
