Frederique Constant signs the "Highlife Chronograph Automatic" whose chronograph complication is enhanced by the use of blue on a white dial
For enthusiasts of chronograph complications, Frederique Constant presents the “Highlife Chronograph Automatic” (Ref. FC-391WN4NH6). A chronograph with a casaul-chic design, suitable for everyday life and not only, it draws on Swiss watchmaking tradition in its mechanics and the excellence of its finishing.
Crafted in a limited edition of 1888 pieces, the “Highlife Chronograph Automatic” has a three-piece stainless steel case with a diameter of 41 mm by 14.22 mm in thickness and is water-resistant to 10 atm (100 metres). The case's alternating polished and satin finishes is also visible on the two pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock that activate, stop and reset the recorded time intervals. Their profile has also been slightly inclined by a few degrees to allow them to blend harmoniously with the profile of the case.
The white dial, embellished in the centre with the engraving of the globe, a symbol of the cosmopolitan spirit and iconic motif of this collection, boasts three contrasting blue counters: the 30-minute chrono counter at 3 o'clock, the 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock and the small seconds at 9 o'clock, while a discreet rectangular window between 4 and 5 o'clock offers the useful date display. The flange, in the same shade as the counters and curved outwards thanks to its refined graduation, offers the reading of the minutes in white on a scale of 5 in Arabic numerals and the fifth of a second thanks to an elongated index. The applied silvered indices, as well as the hour and minute hands, are luminescent to allow optimal reading of the time in any light conditions.
The “Highlife Chronograph Automatic” is equipped with the automatic calibre FC-391, with a column wheel placed at 3 o'clock that the most experienced connoisseurs will easily identify, thanks to the sapphire crystal porthole. Developed in collaboration with the Manufacture La Joux-Perret, this movement boasts not only a remarkable modern construction, but also a high level of finishing and quality. In addition, Frederique Constant has designed a rose gold-plated oscillating weight with Côtes de Genève motif as well as on the bridges: a beloved decoration for the brand, whose Manufacture is located in Geneva.
This rotor winds the automatic movement, beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and assures 60 hours of autonomy when fully wound. Each watch is engraved with the inscription "Highlife Chronograph" and bears the individual limited edition number.
This superb Frederique Constant chronograph is completed by a navy-blue calfskin leather strap with a nubuck finish, accompanied by a rubber strap in the same shade and an additional three-link polished/satin-finished steel bracelet. Three different options that allow the white dial or the counters and blue flange of this rare collector's model to be highlighted, depending on individual preferences.
