Since 1947

The Luigi Verga Orologi store on Corso Vercelli in Milan, which opened in September 1997, is the third store of the Verga Family who has been working in the watch sector for 75 years.

Opened in September 1997 on Corso Vercelli 7 in Milan, Luigi Verga Orologi is the third of the four stores of the Verga Family who has been working in the watch sector for 75 years.

Its history goes back to 1947, when Luigi Verga, master watchmaker, realized his dream of having his own shop which opened on via Mazzini, just a stone's throw from the Cathedral. A few years later, his son Valerio, only seventeen at the time, began to work alongside him and still continues to manage the activity.

During this time the Verga Company grows and evolves. There are currently four points of sale covering different areas in Milano.
In addition to the historic location in Via Mazzini, two points of sales points have been opened in the Porta Nuova - Gae Aulenti area, reputed to be the financial hub of Milan. They are located next to each other, exactly at Via V. Capelli 4 and 6. The first handles well-known Swiss brands such as Rolex and Cartier to name just a few, while the second is dedicated exclusively to the prestigious Patek Philippe brand.

2015 marks the renewal of Luigi Verga Orologi - managed by Valeria Verga. The store, based in Corso Vercelli - one of the most elegant and refined areas of Milan and close to the Santa Maria delle Grazie church that houses Leonardo da Vinci's famous 'Last Supper' - moved from number 7 to number 19 that year.

Valeria Verga, Valerio’s second-born, decided to continue the family tradition and entered the “watch world" in 2003 when she was just over twenty years old. Under the expert guidance of her father, she took her first steps, studied and deepened her knowledge of these fascinating time tools. Since then she has dedicated herself full-time to managing and developing the store which is the destination of enthusiasts and collectors of fine watches who confide in the competence and expertise which the shop has always offered its clients.

The store size expands and the store windows have become two and larger, like the interior surface area which has tripled. Designed by the architect Valentina Vincenzi, the space has been carefully studied to exhibit the Swiss brands which the store is licensed to sell in the best possible way. The furniture is refined and elegant, making playful use of beige and green shades; it uses high quality materials such as marble, limestone, bronzed brass, leather and walnut. To the left of the entrance, a large area is dedicated to the Rolex corner which has been fitted-out according to the aesthetic rules of the prestigious Swiss brand.

Luigi Verga Orologi, always attentive to the trends and development of its clients' tastes, offers a selected range of products of the best brands like Rolex, Panerai, Baume & Mercier, Tudor, Longines, Frederique Constant in addition to the precious jewellery "made in Italy" by Pomellato and the watch winders by Scatola del Tempo.

The shop also has a qualified in-house laboratory - authorised by Rolex and Tudor - with specialised technicians who periodically attend training courses at the parent companies.

These are the words of Valeria Verga, who sucessfully manage the store:

"I love my job and I like working with the constant goal of building and doing better and better. Every day is a new challenge which my colleagues and I tackle with a smile, to satisfy our clients’ desires."
